Walking with God

I follow the football club I support on social media. They constantly post videos of their successful matches in the present and in their glory days. In those times when the team is not doing so well, their glory days remind the players and fans what their club is capable of. In the same respect, sharing testimonies of God's love in my every day life not only reminds me that God is always good, I am also magnifying Him. The more I magnify God, the more I experience His presence in my life and the more testimonies I have to share... ad infinitum. According to science, at the moment of conception there is a spark that goes off. (See video) The Bible says this about Jesus that He "was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world." John 1: 9, NKJV Is it possible that same light spark that goes off at conception is the same light spoken about in the Bible?  I believe it is.  I believe Jesus gives His light to every human being at the moment of conception.   Thank you, Jesus, for giving me Your Light. ☀️❤️

I've been a fan of the Liverpool Football Club aka LFC since I was a child. A year ago, before Jurgen Klopp, the then manager of LFC left, in his farewell speech he welcomed the new manager, Arne Slot, by singing his name. When LFC won the PremIer League recently, the new manager, Arne Slot, returned the favour by singing Jurgen Klopp's name during their celebrations. If footballers and their fans can be inspired by singing their managers' names, imagine what your life would be like when you constantly sing the name of Jesus, the name that is above all names that everyone and everything bows down to.  (Philippians 2: 10). I'm sure Jurgen Klopp already knows this as he is a Christian. I believe God has many ways to meet our needs. I am also very open to receive my good from whatever instrument God chooses to meet them. Two days ago, I looked at some summer dresses online. I was thinking of getting one at some point. Today, my flatmate gave me a summer dress. She said she's only won it a few times. I tried it and I liked it. The colour actually suits me and it is a very good quality. My flatmate has given me nice outfits before.  I have also received two trousers and a night dress from my neighbour.  Thank you, God, for Your constant grace in Christ Jesus. ❤️ ---- Relevant Bible verses: "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." All Christians who have been baptised with the Holy Spirit (Acts 2: 4) have the gift of speaking in tongues which can be used to communicate with the Holy Spirit to edify yourself.  Some Christians have been given the gift of interpretation of tongues for others. (1 Corinthians 12; 14) While I was travelling on the bus to work, I was silently singing in tongues. Then I started thinking of what it means to live by the two laws - the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus versus the law of sin and death. (Romans 8: 2) While I was meditating on that Bible verse, a young man came and sat behind me and started playing really loud music which changed every few seconds. I was really bothered by his music. I noticed an empty seat a few seats in front and I thought about moving, but I was inspired to stay put. I closed my eyes and started singing silently in tongues.  The first thing I noticed was I was no longer bothered by his music. It felt like I had an energy field around me....

Who are the children of God? According to the Bible, which I believe is the Word of God: "He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.  But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1:10-13, NKJV ("He" is referring to Jesus Christ). Because I am a born-again Christian who has received Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, Jesus, has given me the right to become a child of God.  The Bible also teaches that those who are led by the Holy Spirit are sons (and daughters) of God. While I was invigilating this exhibit, I asked visitors not to touch or sit near the installation. It was mostly the young kids that did so I asked their parents to supervise them. At one point, this cat walked in and walked right through the installation.  I said to the visitors. Update: Humans are not allowed to touch or walk near the  installation, but the cat can do whatever it pleases.  It got me wondering about cats. Why are they so difficult to train? Are they just naturally rebellious. My flatmate's cat, Zeus, is often staring at things that I can't see, though I can  sometimes spiritually discern a presence.  He can also sense your mood.  No wonder cats don't pay much attention to human rules as they live in a different realm - the spiritual. The other day, after we finished work late, the company provided taxis to take all staff home. My taxi driver, who was Polish, shared his faith with me and how he celebrated Easter. He said part of their Polish tradition involves having their priest bless their food. I found it interesting. The next day, I received a text from my Polish friend to wish me Happy Easter. She told me she attended a Polish church in the morning and took food to church and the priest blessed their food. She said  that was part of their Polish tradition. She said she was going to attend an English church the next day. I told her I already knew all about their Polish tradition from the taxi driver who drove me home the night before. 😀 While we all have our different traditions, the Bible teaches us that all Christians share the one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism and one God (Ephesians 4: 4-6). At this museum, I was invigilating an art instalment at their conservatory. I had to make sure the kids didn't touch it or stand on the panel. We provided pencils and paper for kids and adults  to draw or paint the art.  Majority of the visitors were polite and obeyed the rules. One particular mother was quite challenging. I ended up calling my manager to report the matter. While I was waiting for my manager, I saw a friend I had met at a mutual friend's wedding. At the time, we had such a laugh dancing and singing at the wedding reception.  Although we have kept in contact by text, I haven't seen her since the wedding seven months ago. After my friend and I exchanged hugs, I told her about the visitor who had been challenging and she was very sympathetic and supportive.  We arranged to meet up after I finished work an hour later. I was booked to work at this concert which was scheduled to finish after 12 am. During the briefing, we were told the company was going to provide taxis home for all staff including agency staff. I was so grateful I wasn't going to have to travel by night bus. After our shift finished around 12.30am, I checked what time my taxi was coming.  They had this system where those who lived in the same area of London were sharing the same taxi. My travel companion told me she had received a text to let her know that our taxi was outside. So we went outside to look for the taxi. In the meantime, my companion started complaining about how tired she was and her feet were aching.  At first I was sympathetic as it had been a long evening with very loud music.  She then told me she'd received another text cancelling our taxi. She said she was thinking that they were going  to cancel our taxi because they always cancel her taxi as taxis don't seem to like the area she lives in....

When I saw a crack on my phone screen, I wondered if it was the screen or the screen protector.  It looks like it's the screen protector. Yesterday when I got on the bus, I sat right in front. I was amazed to see a used screen protector in front of where I was sitting. I had to take a photo. 😊 I believe God was showing me that it's my screen protector that needs changing.  Thank you, God. ❤️ 0

Just as he was about to drive down another road that would lead us back on track, we heard the driver swearing under his breath, which made me chuckle. He told us that road was now blocked. Apparently, because of an earlier accident, the police had cordoned off that road. The driver let everyone off at the next stop. I told the driver he can't just dump us there as some of us had not yet arrived at our destination.  He said he was going to speak to his boss. After he called them, he told us that the route was now too complicated and he wasn't going any further. He suggested we catch another bus. At the end of this park, I was inspired to walk down this particular road which led to the town centre. Some people like to go on pub crawls, I prefer park crawls. Today, I went on a four hour crawl through five parks in North London. I found the weather  quite warm though    One of the best things about walking through parks is I get to meet nice friendly dogs. When I asked one guy whose dog was sniffing me what the area I was in was called, he asked me where I had come from. After I told him, he said he was actually visiting someone near where I live later in the afternoon. How amazing is that! I did enjoy my walk  with the Holy Spirit. I even got a sign that He was right there with me giving me the energy. ❤️ By the time I arrived home, my face was covered with salt. That's how hot it was for me. 😀

There is a lot of talk these days about entitlement.  In the worldly realm of the unsaved or unbelievers in Jesus Christ, entitlement is expecting to receive something that you haven't earned or deserved. For instance, I was chatting to this lady who lives in an area of London where there are lots of rich people. She was complaining about how entitled kids are these days. She said she used to give her son birthday presents. When he turned 40, she gave him a lump sum of money. She said last Christmas her son's wife demanded that she gives them £50,000 as a Christmas present towards work they're having done in their garden. She said she refused to give them any money. As a Christian, my world view is everyone (sinners) can receive salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. This means salvation is unearned, undeserved and unmerited. (Ephesians 2: 8-9) Once you are saved, you continue to enjoy God's unmerited favours and benefits. (Psalm 103: 1-5) Therefore, if you a...

I believe bliss from God comes in many shapes and sizes. Here is bliss in the form of Zeus (my flatmate's cat) enjoying the sunshine in our back garden. ❤️ As for me, I could only take the sun for a few minutes and then went back indoors to my bliss, where it's nice and cool. 😊 Thank you, God. ❤️

I have a new crush - this background actor from a music video. He is just my type. ❤️ I know the song and even had the album, which I love, but I've never seen the video before until now. Alas, as the song came out in 1985, it's a tad too late for me to make this discovery. In Christianity, the dove represents the Holy Spirit. In a photo I took yesterday, I noticed a cloud that looks like an arrow pointing to another cloud on the right that looks, to me, like a dove. While I was taking a walk along this canal path, the path  ended abruptly. When I got back on the road, I asked this young lady if she knew how I could reconnect with the canal path. She said she didn't.  As I was about to walk down another road, her boyfriend beckoned to me and pointed the right direction. Another man joined us and gave me directions. I thanked both men for their help.  I am so used to People Map, I have forgotten I can use the map on my phone. I prefer People Map as it's a lot more civilised. ❤️ I decided to continue the rest of my journey by bus. 😊

For the last month, the film channel has been showing the film, "The Devil Wears Prada" at least once a week  and I always watch it when it's on.  The song "Suddenly I See" is featured in the film.  I love the film and the song. ❤️

When I saw Zeus (my flatmate's cat) standing near the kitchen looking sorry for himself, I thought he probably  didn't like the food he's been given, even though his mum feeds him a really good brand. I picked him up. While I was giving him a cuddle, I sang to him: ---- "Why you look so sad Tears are in your eyes Come on and come to me now ...I'll stand by you, won't let nobody hurt you." ---- I then put him down and said, "Eat!" He started eating. Oh I see, you just wanted someone to make a fuss over you.  I used to sing "The Most Beautiful Cat (Girl) in the World" by Prince to Zeus to cheer him up, but he doesn't seem to like that anymore; or maybe he wasn't impressed with my singing.   I've decided from now on, "I'll Stand By You" (The Pretenders version) is going to be Zeus' new theme song. 😀❤️

When this man walked into the shop I was working in to browse, I asked him if he was okay.  He told me the online map he was using had sent him in the wrong direction and had added an extra 20 minutes to his journey. "I know how you feel. Sometimes I do get lost following that map," I said. "I never got lost when I used to use the A to Z map. Now I use People Map." "What do you mean by people map?" he said. "Asking people for direction." "Do people actually help?" "Yes, all the time. People are so helpful." "I could have saved myself a lot of time if I had asked someone for help then." "Yes," I said. A few weeks ago, I agreed to work on this particular day at this museum shop. It was only later that I realised that day will be Easter Sunday. I really would like to go to church on Easter Sunday. I thought about cancelling the shift, but I decided against it as I have been trained to open and close that shop. The client will not be happy to be let down. I certainly wasn't going to make up some excuse. Oh well, nevermind! Sorry I'm not going to be able to attend Easter service, Lord. I'm sure you won't mind as You are always with me anyway. A few days later, I received an email from my agency to let me know that because of operational issues, the client had cancelled my Easter Sunday shift. I was able to swap that for another day. During my bus journey, I was engrossed on my phone. At one point when I looked up I noticed the bus was using a different route. What's going on? Did I get on the wrong bus? I asked the passenger next to me what bus it was and he said 29. The passenger in front of me said the bus must be on a diversion. Usually, the bus driver makes an announcement to let passengers know the bus is being diverted, but this driver had remained silent. I went back to my browsing.  When I looked up again, the bus was in an area I wasn't familiar with. I told the man next to me I had no idea where we were. He told me we were in an area called Tufnell Park. Finally, the passenger told me we were about to get back to our usual bus route. I then relaxed and returned to my phone until it was time to get off. The bus diversion got me thinking of trusting in God. There are times when it seems like we are a long way from our path. The other day, I was thinking that I could do with a safety pin. I used to have a packet somewhere, but I couldn't remember where I had put it. Nevermind! Two days later, while I was on my break at work I was sitting on this sofa. When I got up, I noticed this safety pin right where I had been sitting.  It was exactly the size I was thinking of and I claimed it. I have also been thinking of getting a new moisturising cream for my face as my skin has been feeling dry.  The next day at work a colleague asked me if I had noticed the box that a company had sent of moisturising cream samples. She told me to help myself. Although I'd never heard of that brand, I took several boxes so I could share some with my flatmate.  On the bus, I got chatting to this passenger sitting next to me. I told her I had got some samples at work and even gave her one. She thanked me and told me it was a good brand. As soon as I got home, I gave some samples to my flatmate. Usually, when I phone a company's head office, it is to complain about a product or a service. Today, I was inspired to share good reports instead. My first call was to express how much I appreciated the service I had received from a staff from this particular store. My second call was to thank the company for their travel iron that I've been using since 2001 which still works.  Finally, I called my favourite food store to express my gratitude about a sandwich I've recently discovered and how much I love their food. Every customer adviser I spoke to was really happy to hear my feedback. Two of them told me I had made their day. They all said they will pass my feedback on to the stores and  equivalent departments. I give thanks for all the wonderful service I receive from every store. "Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6 ---- While I was invigilating at this art gallery, I reminded visitors of the safeguarding rules that protected the art and other visitors.  When this couple and their three kids arrived, I told their parents what the rules were. I noticed the three kids were paying no attention to the rules and doing the exact opposite. I walked over to their parents and told them to supervise the kids otherwise I would have to ask them to leave. They spoke to their kids. When the kids refused to obey the rules, I asked them to leave. The kids weren't happy and complained to their parents, but they backed me up and told them that's what happens when you break the rules.  It's nice to see parents who appreciate that certain rules are in place to protect everyone.  If you want to do whatever you like, I suggest you stay at home in your bedroom. 😊

So I received a text  advising me to click on a link to renew my passport.  As my passport is due for renewal this year, I was curious enough to read it. I also knew the Passport Office would never send you a text. It's up to you to contact them. When I told my work colleague, she said it was a scam. Before I deleted the text, I compared the scam website to the real website.  The fake website looks so similar to the real that you can easily be fooled. When you look at the website link, you can spot the difference. Nice try, scammers! I believe the fake website represents the machinations of Satan aka the Devil who is a master of deception and is constantly twisting the truth. The Bible tells us he even passes himself off as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 2: 14) His purpose is to kill, steal and destroy.
