How to Avoid Scams

So I received a text  advising me to click on a link to renew my passport.  As my passport is due for renewal this year, I was curious enough to read it. I also knew the Passport Office would never send you a text. It's up to individuals to contact them.

When I told my work colleague, she said it was a scam. Before I deleted the text, I compared the scam website to the real website.  The fake website looks so similar to the real that you can easily be fooled. When you look at the website link, you can spot the difference. Nice try, scammers!

I believe the fake website represents the machinations of Satan aka the Devil who is a master of deception and is constantly twisting the truth. The Bible tells us he even passes himself off as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 2: 14) His purpose is to kill, steal and destroy. (John 10: 10).   If you don't  know the Truth or have the Holy Spirit's gift of discernment in you, you're going to fall for his scams.

Thank you, God, for protecting me from the evil one. (John 17: 15) ❤️

An Easy Day

Before I went to work at this museum, I thanked God for an easy, fun and wonderful day. Half of my time was spent working in the gallery, where I was invigilating, and in the shop serving customers.  Although it was really busy with a constant flow of visitors and kids, I found it easy as God was working in me and through me My work colleagues were also very nice and helpful and I enjoyed working with them. I also enjoyed chatting to the parents and their kids. While I was tidying up an area of the gallery, I found this soft toy and I gave it to a colleague to look after. Later, I saw this boy sitting in the cafe with his mum and sister. I noticed he was carrying the toy I had found in the gallery. I told him I was glad he got his toy back. Indiana Jones

Today, I was working as a host at three graduation ceremonies from the same university. At the end of each ceremony, the orchestra they had on stage played the theme song from the film, "Indiana Jones", composed by John Williams. By the end of my shift, I had that song stuck in my head. On the way home, I stopped at this restaurant to get some food then walked to the bus stop  As the bus I wanted got cancelled, I decided to travel a different route, which took a lot longer.  When I finally got home, I had a quick shower. I then turned on my laptop to watch some mindless TV on this film channel. Guess what film they had on? "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Very funny, God! 😂 Of course, I had to watch it again, even though I've seen it a zillion times. I never get tired of Indiana Jones films or that theme song. ❤️

About Availability

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." ----- Last night I dreamt about my ex-boyfriend who is now a very good friend. In the dream, I was upset with him for not being there for me and forgetting my birthday.  When I woke up, I thought the dream was really silly.  Why would I care whether he forgets my birthday?  Besides, even though, we haven't been together for almost 10 years, he always remembers my birthday. This morning, I received a text from the same friend. He told me he recently had a minor operation and was recuperating at home.  He asked if I was available to visit him. I told him I was busy doing my laundry, but I could visit him in the afternoon, as he only lives about half an hour away from me by bus. He asked me to visit the next day instead if I was still available. Now it made sense why I had had that nonsense about my friend.
