God Meets Every Need

The other day, I was thinking that I could do with a safety pin. I used to have a packet somewhere, but I couldn't remember where I had put it. Nevermind!

Two days later, while I was on my break at work I was sitting on this sofa. When I got up, I noticed this safety pin right where I had been sitting.  It was exactly the size I was thinking of and I claimed it.

I have also been thinking of getting a new moisturising cream for my face as my skin has been feeling dry.  The next day at work a colleague asked me if I had noticed the box that a company had sent of moisturising cream samples. She told me to help myself. Although I'd never heard of that brand, I took several boxes so I could share some with my flatmate. 

On the bus, I got chatting to this passenger sitting next to me. I told her I had got some samples at work and even gave her one. She thanked me and told me it was a good brand.

As soon as I got home, I gave some samples to my flatmate. She hadn't heard of the brand either.  I told her someone I met on the bus told me it was a good brand.

I believe our Father God cares about everything that concerns us, big or small; and meets our needs in the most wonderful ways.

Thank you, God, for your constant provision.

An Easy Day

Before I went to work at this museum, I thanked God for an easy, fun and wonderful day. Half of my time was spent working in the gallery, where I was invigilating, and in the shop serving customers.  Although it was really busy with a constant flow of visitors and kids, I found it easy as God was working in me and through me My work colleagues were also very nice and helpful and I enjoyed working with them. I also enjoyed chatting to the parents and their kids. While I was tidying up an area of the gallery, I found this soft toy and I gave it to a colleague to look after. Later, I saw this boy sitting in the cafe with his mum and sister. I noticed he was carrying the toy I had found in the gallery. I told him I was glad he got his toy back. I asked him how old they were, he was six years old  and his sister was ten. The boy said his birthday was on the 27th December. I told him my nephew's birthday was also on that day. Indiana Jones

Today, I was working as a host at three graduation ceremonies from the same university. At the end of each ceremony, the orchestra they had on stage played the theme song from the film, "Indiana Jones", composed by John Williams. By the end of my shift, I had that song stuck in my head. On the way home, I stopped at this restaurant to get some food then walked to the bus stop  As the bus I wanted got cancelled, I decided to travel a different route, which took a lot longer.  When I finally got home, I had a quick shower. I then turned on my laptop to watch some mindless TV on this film channel. Guess what film they had on? "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Very funny, God! 😂 Of course, I had to watch it again, even though I've seen it a zillion times. I never get tired of Indiana Jones films or that theme song. ❤️

About Availability

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." ----- Last night I dreamt about my ex-boyfriend who is now a very good friend. In the dream, I was upset with him for not being there for me and forgetting my birthday.  When I woke up, I thought the dream was really silly.  Why would I care whether he forgets my birthday?  Besides, even though, we haven't been together for almost 10 years, he always remembers my birthday. This morning, I received a text from the same friend. He told me he recently had a minor operation and was recuperating at home.  He asked if I was available to visit him. I told him I was busy doing my laundry, but I could visit him in the afternoon, as he only lives about half an hour away from me by bus. He asked me to visit the next day instead if I was still available. Now it made sense why I had had that nonsense about my friend. I guess when you've known someone for 30 years, you're bound to be able to pick up on their vibe...
