So I decided to create an image with this AI app using my photo.  I gave the AI the concept and the actual words to use.  After it created it, I decided to edit the message by replacing one word with a new word. The AI followed my instructions, but changed the font colour of the new word. When I instructed the AI to change the font colour back, it suggested an app I could use to do it myself. It even provided a link to the app. What is this? I'm not having an AI telling me what to do! I stated that I wanted the font colour of the new word to be changed back to the original colour.  The AI followed my instructions. I then thought, maybe I was a bit harsh so I said, "Thank you." The AI said, "You're welcome" with a heart emoji. I thought, woah, I don't want that kind of relationship with you, thank you very much.  I should never have encouraged it in the first place. My agency recently introduced us to this new app which we now have to use to book jobs and clock in and out. At my last booking, there were lots of us from the same agency. Before we clock in and out, we need to switch on the location on our phones. Majority of my colleagues had iPhones, but they couldn't figure out how to switch the location on or check that it's on. It took a lowly Android user, like myself, to look it up on the Internet and show them how. With my Android phone, all I need to do is swipe the screen down and I can adjust the settings on my phone, including turning the location on and off. Get smart and either learn how to use your fancy smartphone or make friends with a smart Android user who can teach you how to use your fancy smartphone. 😂

At the staffroom, I was chatting to a colleague about AIs.  I said it's amazing how many people are trusting in AIs to run their lives. My colleague said instead of booking tickets through the museum's website, some visitors have been using AI apps to book tickets for the exhibition and they end up either booking the wrong tickets or being given the wrong information. Later, while I was invigilating at a gallery in the same museum, I asked visitors to carry their rucksacks in front to avoid hitting the contents. When I asked this man and he put his ruckdack in front of him, the alarm on his phone went off. He told me what the alarm on his phone meant. Apparently, because he was no longer carrying his rucksack on his back, the device had sounded the alarm as it "thought" he had fallen on his face. 😊 AI apps and technology are useful tools, but we must always remember that they are fallible just like their human creators. When I arrived at the tube station, there were several people waiting outside the ticket barrier. I noticed the time was 9.22am.  Aha, they're waiting till 9.30am, when it becomes off peak and it's a lot cheaper to travel. I also hung out with them until 9.30am.  Smart thinking! 😂 When I arrived at the platform, there was already a train waiting, but it was packed full and it remained on the platform for several minutes while commuters piled on. I decided to wait for the next train. The next one arrived in two minutes and it was empty. I had a nice comfortable seat all the way into central London.
