Asking for Help
When this man walked into the shop I was working in to browse, I asked him if he was okay. He told me the online map he was using had sent him in the wrong direction and had added an extra 20 minutes to his journey.
"I know how you feel. Sometimes I do get lost following that map," I said. "I never got lost when I used to use the A to Z map. Now I use People Map."
"What do you mean by people map?" he said.
"Asking people for direction."
"Do people actually help?"
"Yes, all the time. People are so helpful."
"I could have saved myself a lot of time if I had asked someone for help then."
"Yes," I said. "You know what, I even ask guys to open bottles for me when I can't."
"That's very interesting. Nice talking to you." He then walked out.
I hope I didn't scare that poor man off with my talk about asking for help. 😀
Asking for help doesn't make you weak, it makes you strong.
I believe as my help comes from God (Psalm 121: 2), the help I receive from people are actually coming from God.
Thank you, Lord for being my constant Helper. ❤️
