Friends Reunited
At this museum, I was invigilating an art instalment at their conservatory. I had to make sure the kids didn't touch it or stand on the panel. We provided pencils and paper for kids and adults to draw or paint the art.
Majority of the visitors were polite and obeyed the rules. One particular mother was quite challenging. I ended up calling my manager to report the matter.
While I was waiting for my manager, I saw a friend I had met at a mutual friend's wedding. At the time, we had such a laugh dancing and singing at the wedding reception. Although we have kept in contact by text, I haven't seen her since the wedding seven months ago.
After my friend and I exchanged hugs, I told her about the visitor who had been challenging and she was very sympathetic and supportive. We arranged to meet up after I finished work an hour later.
After I had spoken to my manager, I told him I had just met a friend from a wedding I attended last year. Because I was feeling hot and bothered, he said he should have brought me a fan. I told him I had a paper fan in my bag that I had actually got from the same wedding where I had met my friend. My manager was amazed.
After work, my friend and I met at the museum cafe. She then invited me to a community event she was attending where they cook and serve vegetables that supermarkets are going to throw away. As I hadn't yet had a proper meal, I accepted her invitation.
I ended up having a delicious three course meal for free.
The organisers of the event also gave guests uncooked vegetables to take home. I took some fruits and vegetables. When I got home, I gave the vegetables to my flatmate.
It's wonderful how God works. He not only provided food I didn't have to work for or cook, He reunited me with a friend. I was also able to share the blessing with my flatmate.
Thank you, God, for Your constant goodness. ❤️
