I was chatting to my friends about how to save power on our phones. I said before I go to sleep, my phone is usually fully charged. I've noticed when I wake up in the middle of the night to check the time on my phone, the battery power is no longer 100%. I believe it's because my phone automatically backs up data when the phone is idle, which requires power. I had a theory that if I switched off the wifi, the phone will not be able to backup, as it needs wifi to do so. Last night, I tested that theory. Before I went to bed, I turned off the wifi on my fully charged phone to see if I can save power that way. After a while I checked my phone's power and noticed the battery was slightly depleted. It was then I remembered that the moment I switch off the wifi, the 5G network kicks in, which is faster than the usual wifi.
