Another Year, Another Birthday

Today, I am celebrating another birthday, another year around the sun.

I have been thinking about what that means to me, here and now.

When you "lose" your loved ones, like your earthly parents, mortality starts becoming very real, whether you believe in it or not.

Unless...unless you know whose you are and who you are in Christ.

I know I belong to Christ and my identity is in Him.

Christ is my life.

For me, birthdays are no longer measured by how many trips I've made around the sun, humanly speaking,  but about how deep my faith in God has grown and is growing.

Thank you, Lord, for giving me Your everlasting life forever. Amen. ❤️

Ps: A friend got me this card which she said was made by one of her clients. The tiger, which is made of tiny beads,   reminds me of my late mum as she used to love tigers. (I prefer lions). This card is definitely a keeper. ❤️

Indiana Jones

Today, I was working as a host at three graduation ceremonies from the same university. At the end of each ceremony, the orchestra they had on stage played the theme song from the film, "Indiana Jones", composed by John Williams. By the end of my shift, I had that song stuck in my head. On the way home, I stopped at this restaurant to get some food then walked to the bus stop  As the bus I wanted got cancelled, I decided to travel a different route, which took a lot longer.  When I finally got home, I had a quick shower. I then turned on my laptop to watch some mindless TV on this film channel. Guess what film they had on? "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Very funny, God! 😂 Of course, I had to watch it again, even though I've seen it a zillion times. I never get tired of Indiana Jones films or that theme song. ❤️

Bananas

 A few days ago while I was grocery shopping, I wondered if I should get some bananas, but I decided not to as they don't last long. That's why I only buy a banana when I fancy one in that moment.  I got red grapes instead which last a lot longer. Yesterday, I didn't see my flatmate as I was already in bed by the time she got home. This morning when I went in the kitchen, I noticed my flatmate had left a note on the kitchen top for me to have these two bananas. I immediately gobbled one up. Thank you, God, for providing my bananas through my flatmate. ♥️ Photo of the note and bananas 😊
