Passport Photo

 I was telling my work colleagues that I had received an email from the Passport Office to confirm that they had approved my application and I should be receiving my new passport shortly. 

I told them I was relieved they didn't want a third party to verify my glum photo. I said I'm going to have to live with my miserable looking photo for the next ten years.

One colleague said she looks like a convict in her passport photo.

The other colleague said she looks happy in her passport photo. I asked her to show us. We were amazed she was actually smiling in her passport photo.

"How on earth did you get away with a smiling photo? It can't be a British passport, you're not allowed to smile."

"It's Indian," she said.

"I see."

"Actually, whenever I travel to India, immigration always tells me I'm the only photo they've seen with a smile," she said.

Miracles do happen! 😆

Indiana Jones

Today, I was working as a host at three graduation ceremonies from the same university. At the end of each ceremony, the orchestra they had on stage played the theme song from the film, "Indiana Jones", composed by John Williams. By the end of my shift, I had that song stuck in my head. On the way home, I stopped at this restaurant to get some food then walked to the bus stop  As the bus I wanted got cancelled, I decided to travel a different route, which took a lot longer.  When I finally got home, I had a quick shower. I then turned on my laptop to watch some mindless TV on this film channel. Guess what film they had on? "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Very funny, God! 😂 Of course, I had to watch it again, even though I've seen it a zillion times. I never get tired of Indiana Jones films or that theme song. ❤️

Bananas

 A few days ago while I was grocery shopping, I wondered if I should get some bananas, but I decided not to as they don't last long. That's why I only buy a banana when I fancy one in that moment.  I got red grapes instead which last a lot longer. Yesterday, I didn't see my flatmate as I was already in bed by the time she got home. This morning when I went in the kitchen, I noticed my flatmate had left a note on the kitchen top for me to have these two bananas. I immediately gobbled one up. Thank you, God, for providing my bananas through my flatmate. ♥️ Photo of the note and bananas 😊
