Jesus is Lord, Everywhere

A friend was telling me about when she had to travel for work to a country in the east known for their millions of gods. She said it was a huge culture shock to be in a culture where their religious beliefs pervades everything they do. She was very conscious that worshipping many gods goes against her Christian faith, but she also didn't want to offend her hosts. She said she kept praying about how to navigate in that world and at the same time not compromise her Christian values.

I reminded her that while that eastern culture has a religious belief in many gods, our British culture in the west also has a belief in many gods, it's called secularism. Secularism has removed God from society, instead they believe in the gods of the self or ego aka personal truth, personal development and personal achievements.

Christians all over the world believe in the one Holy Trinity God - the Father, Jesus Christ or Son and Holy Spirit.

It doesn't matter what culture I find myself in, I know Jesus is Lord. ❤️

Relevant Bible verses:

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8: 38-39

"Therefore concerning the eating of things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live." 1 Corinthians 8: 4-6

"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen." 2 Corinthians 13: 14

"There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all." Ephesians 4: 4-6

"Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." Colossians 2: 8-10
