My Travel Companion

During my bus journey, this woman sat beside me.  At one point she asked me where Oxford Street was and I pointed it out to her.

I asked her if she was new to London. She said she lives in Liverpool and wasn't very familiar with London. She also told me she was on her way to her country's embassy to renew her passport. I told her I actually received my new passport yesterday.

We then had a nice chat about the weather. When we got off at the last stop, I  showed my friend how to get to the embassy. I even walked her part of the way.  I also pointed out a few tourist attractions. Before we parted company, we exchanged hugs.

I believe the Holy Spirit brings people together who are having similar experiences so they can help each other out.  That's what makes life wonderful. ❤️

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." ----- Last night I dreamt about my ex-boyfriend who is now a very good friend. In the dream, I was upset with him for not being there for me and forgetting my birthday.  When I woke up, I thought the dream was really silly.  Why would I care whether he forgets my birthday?  Besides, even though, we haven't been together for almost 10 years, he always remembers my birthday. This morning, I received a text from the same friend. He told me he recently had a minor operation and was recuperating at home.  He asked if I was available to visit him. I told him I was busy doing my laundry, but I could visit him in the afternoon, as he only lives about half an hour away from me by bus. He asked me to visit the next day instead if I was still available. Now it made sense why I had had that nonsense about my friend. I guess when you've known someone for 30 years, you're bound to be able to pick up on their vibe...

Bananas

 A few days ago while I was grocery shopping, I wondered if I should get some bananas, but I decided not to as they don't last long. That's why I only buy a banana when I fancy one in that moment.  I got red grapes instead which last a lot longer. Yesterday, I didn't see my flatmate as I was already in bed by the time she got home. This morning when I went in the kitchen, I noticed my flatmate had left a note on the kitchen top for me to have these two bananas. I immediately gobbled one up. Thank you, God, for providing my bananas through my flatmate. ♥️ Photo of the note and bananas 😊

On Being the Light of the World

"You are the light of the world." Matthew 5: 14 ---- I was booked to work as a steward at  this huge concert hall I've worked at before.  Usually after I am booked at a venue, I check what kind of concert or event it is. This one was a two day Christian conference promoting a course I've actually been on. There were going to be speakers and delegates from all over the world. Two days before the Christian conference, I was booked at a music venue I've never worked at before, but have always been curious about. When I checked who the band was, I discovered there were going to be several bands playing extreme metal music that promised to be very "dark."  I was going to cancel that booking, but  I remembered Jesus told believers that we "are the light of the world" which means we are to be the light for everyone, everywhere.  Also, God has not given me the spirit of fear.
