Only God is Infallible

At the staffroom, I was chatting to a colleague about AIs.  I said it's amazing how many people are trusting in AIs to run their lives.

My colleague said instead of booking tickets through the museum's website, some visitors have been using AI apps to book tickets for the exhibition and they end up either booking the wrong tickets or being given the wrong information.

Later, while I was invigilating at a gallery in the same museum, I asked visitors to carry their rucksacks in front to avoid hitting the contents.

When I asked this man and he put his ruckdack in front of him, the alarm on his phone went off. He told me what the alarm on his phone meant.

Apparently, because he was no longer carrying his rucksack on his back, the device had sounded the alarm as it "thought" he had fallen on his face. 😊

AI apps and technology are useful tools, but we must always remember that they are fallible just like their human creators.

Only God is infallible. ❤️

Indiana Jones

Today, I was working as a host at three graduation ceremonies from the same university. At the end of each ceremony, the orchestra they had on stage played the theme song from the film, "Indiana Jones", composed by John Williams. By the end of my shift, I had that song stuck in my head. On the way home, I stopped at this restaurant to get some food then walked to the bus stop  As the bus I wanted got cancelled, I decided to travel a different route, which took a lot longer.  When I finally got home, I had a quick shower. I then turned on my laptop to watch some mindless TV on this film channel. Guess what film they had on? "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Very funny, God! 😂 Of course, I had to watch it again, even though I've seen it a zillion times. I never get tired of Indiana Jones films or that theme song. ❤️

Bananas

 A few days ago while I was grocery shopping, I wondered if I should get some bananas, but I decided not to as they don't last long. That's why I only buy a banana when I fancy one in that moment.  I got red grapes instead which last a lot longer. Yesterday, I didn't see my flatmate as I was already in bed by the time she got home. This morning when I went in the kitchen, I noticed my flatmate had left a note on the kitchen top for me to have these two bananas. I immediately gobbled one up. Thank you, God, for providing my bananas through my flatmate. ♥️ Photo of the note and bananas 😊
