May Jesus Christ Be Praised

It's easy to praise God and be grateful to Him when everything is going your way. What about when things are not so great?

When I woke up this morning, I was not only coughing hard, I'd lost my voice. I wondered if I should cancel my evening shift, but I decided not to.

I then heard the words in my head, "May Jesus Christ Be Praised", which I recognised from a Christian hymn. I started humming it.  I then watched a few versions of the hymn on YouTube and tried to sing along with them. My voice sounded very hoarse.

I spent the morning watching praise hymns on YouTube, reading Praise Bible verses and thanking God. By early afternoon, my voice was back to normal, though I was stil coughing.

I then went to work at my evening shift. During my downtime, I continued praising Him.

No matter what the circumstance, I will praise God at all times.

Thank you, Jesus. ❤️

Relevant Bible verses:

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! ...Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4, 6-7

“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. ” James 1:2-4

The first hymn I was humming this morning.
