God is Love

This morning, it was raining cats and dogs.  When I arrived at the platform to wait for the train, I asked this young woman if she could remove her umbrella from the seat next ro her as I needed to sit down. When she did, I noticed the seat was wet. I pointed out to her that her umbrella had made the seat wet.

"Don't come to me with your negative attitude," she said. "Move along!"

"Putting a wet umbrella on a seat shows a lack of consideration for others," I said.

"I don't care!" she said.

I moved on and found a dry seat further down the platform in the shelter. Although I was feeling angry by the girl's attitude, I was inspired to let go of the anger and bless her with love. 

On the way back from work, I travelled on the tube. When I got on the second tube, it was a mad dash to get to the last seat on the carriage.  Although I won that race, I let the woman have the seat. Suddenly, I felt someone nudging my back. When I turned round, this woman sitting behind me asked me if I wanted to sit down.  As I was carrying two bags, I thanked her and gladly accepted her seat. I noticed the word, "love" at the back of the woman's jacket and took a sneaky photo of it. (See photo)

Later when I got on the bus, I noticed this passenger on the seat beside me was resting her feet on the seat opposite her. This time, I didn't say anything, as I didn't want to be yelled at, again.  She got off at the next stop, thank God. 😀

God is love.❤️

Let There Be Light!

"You are the light of the world....Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5: 14, 16 ---- While I was waiting at the bus stop for my final bus home, I was meditating on what it means to have been "called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2: 9) and my identity as the light of the world (Matthew 5: 14). When my bus arrived, I went to sit right at the back at the lower deck. I continued mediating on those Bible verses. At one point, I noticed the bus was in darkness and the bus was quite full. Why hasn't the driver put the light on? I thought, God, please turn the light on! When nothing happened, I walked to the front. I waited till the driver stopped at the next stop.
