Staying in Your Lane

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He asked Peter three times if He loved Him  Jesus then told Peter:  "Feed My sheep."  (John 21: 15-19) That was Jesus's unique mission for Peter.

Peter then asked Jesus about His beloved disciple, John.

"Jesus said to him, 'If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.'" John 21: 22

In other words, Jesus was saying to Peter that he was to focus on his own mission instead of concerning himself about what others are doing.

That is a very important lesson for all of Jesus's disciples. Each of us has been given a unique mission. In other words, God has a plan for each of us and we must stay in our own lane. We must never compare our mission to another's mission.

What all believers in Christ have in common is we all follow Christ and we love and support each other.

I am walking in my own unique lane in Christ. ❤️
