God is the Healer

A healing testimony

"For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord." Jeremiah 30: 17

A few weeks ago, I noticed I had an itchy rash on my right hip. I thought I'd either been stung by an insect or my flatmate's cat, Zeus, had fleas. My flatmate told me Zeus was fine as he was getting his injections.

On the way home from work, I stopped off at our local pharmacist to see if I could get a topical lotion for the rash. The pharmacist took me to a quiet room to examine the rash. She told me I had Shingles. I told her I didn't know what it was. She borrowed my phone to take a photo of the rash. She then showed me similar photos on the Internet. She said she's had Shingles before and it can get really painful.

She told me I was going to need antibiotics to get rid of the infection. I told her I don't take medication. 
She suggested I could still use a lotion for the rash.

I thanked her for her advice. I said I would pray about it
The pharmacist told me to come back if I needed her assistant.

I didn't speak to anyone else about the issue. I reminded myself that God is good and He never stops loving me. I thanked God for healing me. 

Whenever I felt the pain, I thanked Jesus for healing me.

I continued going to work and even attended a gig one evening with a friend.

Eventually, the pain stopped and the rashes started drying up.

When I finally told my flatmate what the pharmacist had said, she wasn't really surprised about my relying on God as she's now used to my faith in Jesus.  When I showed her the evidence, she  hugged me and said "well done." I told her I had nothing to do with it, God is the healer.

I went back to the pharmacist to share my good news. I told her God had healed me. She asked me what religion I was. I said I was a Christian. She said she believes in God, but she wasn't Christian. I told her God has healed me of migraine, which medicine has no cure for. God has also healed me of severe anaemia. The pharmacist told me I was a walking miracle. I told her God is the miracle worker.

Before I left, the pharmacist shook my hand, wished me well and told me to share the good news with others.
