Give Kindness, Receive Kindness

"Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Luke 6: 38

While I was queueing up at the self-checkout, I noticed this customer behind me was carrying some stuff in her arms. I asked her if I could get her a basket to put them in. At first, she said she was fine, but then she accepted the basket.

She told me she was trying to decide whether this was the right queue as there were two customers ahead of us who had their trolleys packed full with stuff. I told I was going to stay put as I believe our queue was quicker compared to the others. Besides, I only had a few items so it won't take me long to get through.

While we were waiting, I asked her if she lived locally. She told me she was in the next town, but she was running an errand in the area and decided to do some shopping. I told her I had just come from church. She said when she lived in the area used to attend the local Catholic church, but she now attends one near where she lives.

She asked me if she could use my loyalty card as she had left hers at home.  After I paid for my items at the checkout, she used the same checkout. I then tapped my loyalty card which meant that all her points was transferred to my loyalty card.

Every act of kindness is a gift that comes back to you.

After I showed kindness to that customer, she immediately showed me kindness by giving me her  points on my loyalty card, which will give me discount next time I am shopping at that supermarket.

Give and it will be given to you. ❤️
