God's Goodness at Work

While I was on the bus, I realised I had forgotten to wear my smart black jacket over my black top. I also realised I had left my black scarf at home.  How could I forget both of them!  Nevermind! I'm sure the duty manager won't mind.

When I arrived at work, I asked the duty manager if I could borrow one of their scarves. He said he would get the supervisor to look for one.

The supervisor told me she couldn't find a spare. I asked her if I could borrow a spare jacket.  She asked me to accompany her to her office. She opened a drawer full of new scarves and jackets and said I could borrow one of each. When I returned them at the end of my shift, she told me to keep them as I work at the museum regularly.  I was really grateful.

Hours later at a bus stop on my way home, I noticed this woman eating a chocolate ice lolly.

"Ooh, Walls Feast! I haven't had that in a while," I said to her.

She smiled at me and continued staring at the bus timetable. I was going to ask her if she wanted me to look up when the bus was due to arrive on my bus app, but she walked away.

A few seconds later, she was back and handed me an ice lolly.

"Thank you so much!" I said.

"It's one less fattening for me," she said and walked away.

It turned out it was actually a Magnum ice lolly. I opened it and had half of it at the bus stop and the rest on the bus.

Thank you, God, for your constant undeserved and unmerited favours. ❤️
