The Law of Life in Christ Jesus at Work
When anyone gets saved and receives Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, it means they now have everlasting life in God through Christ. (John 3: 16)
Just because you are saved doesn't mean your human experience changes automatically. That's because your conditioned mind remains the same. That mind has to be reprogrammed/renewed with the Word of God/the Bible so you can know who you are in Christ. (Romans 12: 1-2) Otherwise you will simply be a Christian in name only and behaving just like non-believers.
Last night I was booked to work at this art gallery I've never worked at before. I was glad to see an old friend and colleague working there.
After the staff briefing, our duty manager took us newbies around the gallery to show us the exhibition and our various positions. At one position, there was this art installation where the artist had incorporated it into a campervan. The side door of the van was open and lifted up, but I didn't see it and walked right into it, hitting the right of my forehead really hard. The duty manager apologised for not bringing it to my attention. My other colleagues were very sympathetic and asked if I was okay. One colleague asked if I wanted to sit down. I told them I would be okay. Another colleague asked me if I needed pain killers and I told him I didn't take them.
After checking with me to see if I was OK, the duty manager continued showing us around the exhibits.
The amazing thing was earlier on I had been meditating on Romans 8: 2 about the "Law of the Spirit of life in Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death." I now had tthe opportunity to demonstrate the Truth in that Bible verse.
So while we were being shown how to invigilate the various installations, I was reminding myself that I am spirit and I am free from the law of sin and death.
In the meantime, my head was hurting and that part of my forehead was now swollen. I continued reminding myself of the Truth of who I am in Christ. Within a few minutes, the headache was gone and I was able to do my job.
When it was my turn to invigilate the "van" installation, I reminded visitors to be careful. One guy, who was daydreaming, was about to make the same mistake I had, but I alerted him just in time.
Later, the duty manager came to check up on me. She said she was still feeling bad about my earlier collision with the installation. I assured her I was fine and she shouldn't worry.
I spent the rest of the 4 hour shift reminding myself that I am spirit. By the end of the shift, the swelling had gone down considerably.
This morning my forehead was back to normal. (See photo below). I then texted my friend, who had been working at the gallery, to share the good news. As a fellow Christian, she was very grateful to God as well.
I believe my spirit, soul and body are operating under the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.
Thank you, Jesus. ❤️
