Faith and God’s Goodness

Over the last few days I've been meditating on faith and the goodness of God.

I've also been singing the song, "Goodness of God." The chorus goes, "Your goodness is running after, is running after me."

While I was out for my walk this morning, I was meditating on God's goodness and  mercy following me. (Psalm 23: 6).

This evening, I went to this town centre to buy a few stuff I needed. When I got off the bus, I heard the same song, "Goodness of God" being blasted from a speaker across the road.  I noticed  the person playing the song was a  homeless man, or appeared to be.

I was reminded of what the Bible teaches about faith:

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Hebrews 11: 1

In other words, you have to keep believing and praising God for what you are hoping for, despite your circumstance.

I went into this shop. I was in there for about ten minutes, but they didn't have what I was looking for.  When I came out, I noticed the man was still playing my song.

I then went into two shops and caught my bus home. As my bus was driving past the "homeless man", he was still playing my song.

I hope the "homeless man"  gets inspiration from that song, unless he's an angel pretending to be a "homeless man."

Thank you, God, for the  reminder. I have faith in Your goodness. ❤️
