Love Lifts Me Up
After work, I stopped off at a store to do my weekly grocery shopping. I then caught the train home.
At my stop, lots of people got off. As I was walking up the stairs with my bags of shopping, I lost my balance and tripped on the stairs and fell and I instinctively put my free hand out to protect my face from hitting the step. Suddenly, I felt two arms lifting me up - one from a woman on my left and the other from a man on my right.
Both of them asked me if I was okay. I said I was and thanked them.
The man said, "It's been a long week." I said "It's been a long day."
On the way home, I thanked God for working through the people who had lifted me up. As I kept thanking Him, the pain I had been feeling in my hand and knees melted away. By the time I arrived home, there was no physical evidence of my fall, there was only the memory of God's love.
When I shared my experience with my flatmate, she said it's a shame we tend to focus on the bad things instead of the kindness around us. I told her I focus on the kindness and share on my blogs about God's kindness and love in my everyday life.
When people used to ask my mum how she was, she would often say, "I fall and I get up."
I beg to differ.
When I fall, Love lifts me up.❤️
