Easy Shift, Early Finish
After I booked a late shift finishing at 12 midnight and an early shift the next day, I was beginning to regret my decision. I decided to trust in God to work things out.
Before I went to do my evening shift, I prayed that it would be an easy shift.
I was not only put in an easy position, the whole evening went so smoothly the event finished earlier than planned. Usually, some clients like to stick around to chat, but they didn't even hang around. The event manager let us leave early.
On the taxi home, I had an interesting chat with this young man about the pros and cons of driverless cars. He was understandably against it and I was on the fence. 😀
I arrived home around 12.15am, which meant I was asleep by 1am.
The next morning when I woke up, I was feeling tired. I said to myself "none of me, all of You, God." (Inspired by John 3: 30) I was instantly fully awake and full of energy. My flatmate's cat, Zeus, jumped on my bed and demanded cuddles, which I was happy to give him.
Thank you, God, for making everything work out for good. ❤️
