About Star Trek
I've been a huge fan of Star Trek, which I've been watching since I was a kid. We are both celebrating our 60th year this year.
As I see it, Star Trek represents accepting differences including race, politics, religion, cultures, philosophies, which is a noble view. Some of the humanoids in the series even have interspecies relationships like a Ferengi falling in love with a Cardassian. (See photo below).
In the real world, my real world, I have friends who have different viewpoints and I accept their points of views.
However, when it comes to my inner circle, I prefer to fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ i.e have a relationship with Christ and be God-centred.
When it comes to relationships, in the past I have dated men based on race, cultural values or shared interests, but they haven't worked out because the spiritual core was always missing. It was like dating someone from a different dimension and the other was always trying to pull me into their dimension - and vice versa - without success. That's why God has said we should not get in relationships with unbelievers. (2 Corinthians 6: 14)
Right now, I'm very happy being single and enjoying my personal relationship with Christ.
My point is while I enjoy Star Trek, I never forget that it is science-fiction. It has nothing to do with the way I live my life which is based on faith in Christ.
Peace to all. ❤️

Relevant Bible verses:
[14] Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? [15] And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? [16] And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.” [17] Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.” [18] “I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, NKJV
