Truth is the Correct Answer
During my bus journey, I was meditating on God's love. After I got off the bus and was walking to work, I notced this homeless person wrapped up in a blanket sleeping on the pavement.
That particular area of London has many people sleeping rough. The irony is it's in the west end which is full of tourists and shoppers.
If God truly exists and He is love, how come there is so much lack and suffering in the world?
I am reminded when I was studying maths at school. After a maths test, our teacher would mark our papers. In maths you either have the right answer or the wrong one. As I wasn't very good at maths, I constantly had red marks indicating I had the wrong answers.
The right answer represents truth and the wrong answer represents error.
Back to the question about the homeless and suffering.
God is love.
The Bible states that God loved humanity so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die for all humanity in the past, present and future so they can be saved and have an eternal relationship with God and have everlasting life in Him. However, He allows us to choose whether to accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour or reject Him. That is the eternal truth that never changes.
So when I see homeless people, I remind myself that the correct answer is God is love and He loves everyone, including those homeless people. I then bless them with love.
I know because God loves them, He is constantly inspiring people to help the homeless through charitable organisations that provide food, shelter, and various resources. organisations.
In the past I have done voluntary work for a homeless charity. While I don't give money to the homeless, as I don't carry cash on me, I do buy food for people, if I am inspired to.
Later when I came home and was chatting to my flatmate about the homeless people I had seen, she said when she went shopping and wasn't feeling well, a homeless man asked her if she was feeling okay. She later gave the homeless man some money.
Whatever error seems to suggest, they cannot change the truth that God is love and He care about all of us, even those who reject Him.
Truth is always the correct answer. ❤️
