In God’s Head
At this museum I was working at, I noticed this cute toddler walking ahead of his mum, exploring that gallery.
I said to his mum, "I wonder what's going on in his head?"
"I have no idea," she said. "I'm sure it's really nice being in there."
I loved that thought. I can imagine the baby's head is full of love and joy.
It got me thinking about what it's like in God's head. I believe in God's head, there is infinite love as He is love.
Therefore, when God thinks about me, which He always is, He is thinking of me with love.
In the Bible, I can see how much God loves me and how He expressed His love by sending His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for me so I can have everlasting life with Him. (John 3: 16)
Because of Jesus's sacrifice on the cross, God is constantly thinking:
- how much He loves me;
- how to show His love for me;
- how to express His love in and through me;
- how to bless me;
- how beautiful and perfect He has made me;
- how much He is pleased with me;
- of the wonderful plans He has for my life...and so much more.
I am reminded of a time when I had persistent pain in one knee. After spending a few years (and money) limping from one therapist to another seeking a cure, and even studying different healing techniques, I finally asked God for help. God showed me a vision of myself running.
Even though I wasn't saved (given my life to Christ) at that time, God, in His infinite mercy, still showed me what He really thinks of me. In other words, He thought my knee was so perfect, I could run.
Although I didn't believe that vision was possible, one day I was inspired to run for a bus and my knee was perfect. After that, there was no more pain in that knee. God's vision had come true.
Thank you, God, for always thinking of me. I love being in Your head. ❤️
