Food for Thought

Image
While I was walking home with some food I had bought, I thought I'd store some in the freezer that I can have on my next two days off. I then thought about the pasta cheese salad. I could have it when I get home or save it and have it for lunch tomorrow at work. Then I thought, why am I taking so much thought about food. Jesus has taught us that we shouldn't worry about what to eat or drink as our Father God will always provide. Tomorrow will take care of itself. (Matthew 6:25-34) I stopped thinking about it. The moment I got home, my flatmate told me she had just cooked some roast chicken with potatoes. She had leftovers if I fancied some.   Yes, please! Within a few minutes I was sitting at the dining table enjoying the meal.8 Thank you, God. ❤️ I will take the pasta cheese salad to work and have  it for lunch tomorrow. 😊 ----- Related Bible verses: “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, wha...

Staying in Your Lane

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He asked Peter three times if He loved Him  Jesus then told Peter:  "Feed My sheep."  (John 21: 15-19) That was Jesus's unique mission for Peter. Peter then asked Jesus about His beloved disciple, John.   "Jesus said to him, 'If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.'" John 21: 22 In other words, Jesus was saying to Peter that he was to focus on his own mission instead of concerning himself about what others are doing. That is a very important lesson for all of Jesus's disciples. Each of us has been given a unique mission. In other words, God has a plan for each of us and we must stay in our own lane. We must never compare our mission to another's mission.  What all believers in Christ have in common is we all follow Christ and we love and support each other. I am walking in my own unique lane in Christ. ❤️ ----- Relevant Bible verse: "For I know the plans I have for you,” de...
