Grateful Client

At the morning briefing, our duty manager told us there was going to be a birthday party in one of the function rooms. She warned us that the client is very demanding.

When I checked my duty rota, I saw that  at some point, I was going to be hosting the children at the soft play area and  will be working at the function room. I knew all will be well as God is everywhere and He is in control.

When the kids came in the soft play area, I had to make sure that the parents followed the rules of that area and it was all fine.

Next, I moved to the function room. By then everyone was in the soft play area. I just had to ask the cleaner to tidy up the room. Later I heard the client speaking to the head of hospitality and thanking him for doing a great job. Before the client left, he also thanked me.

During the debrief at the end of our shift, I told the duty manager what the client had said and how grateful he was. She was very happy to hear it.

Thank you, God, for our client grateful. ❤️

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." ----- Last night I dreamt about my ex-boyfriend who is now a very good friend. In the dream, I was upset with him for not being there for me and forgetting my birthday.  When I woke up, I thought the dream was really silly.  Why would I care whether he forgets my birthday?  Besides, even though, we haven't been together for almost 10 years, he always remembers my birthday. This morning, I received a text from the same friend. He told me he recently had a minor operation and was recuperating at home.  He asked if I was available to visit him. I told him I was busy doing my laundry, but I could visit him in the afternoon, as he only lives about half an hour away from me by bus. He asked me to visit the next day instead if I was still available. Now it made sense why I had had that nonsense about my friend. Bananas

 A few days ago while I was grocery shopping, I wondered if I should get some bananas, but I decided not to as they don't last long. That's why I only buy a banana when I fancy one in that moment.  I got red grapes instead which last a lot longer. Yesterday, I didn't see my flatmate as I was already in bed by the time she got home. This morning when I went in the kitchen, I noticed my flatmate had left a note on the kitchen top for me to have these two bananas. I immediately gobbled one up. Thank you, God, for providing my bananas through my flatmate. ♥️ Photo of the note and bananas 😊

On Being the Light of the World

"You are the light of the world." Matthew 5: 14 ---- I was booked to work as a steward at  this huge concert hall I've worked at before.  Usually after I am booked at a venue, I check what kind of concert or event it is. This one was a two day Christian conference promoting a course I've actually been on. There were going to be speakers and delegates from all over the world. Two days before the Christian conference, I was booked at a music venue I've never worked at before, but have always been curious about. When I checked who the band was, I discovered there were going to be several bands playing extreme metal music that promised to be very "dark."  I was going to cancel that booking, but  I remembered Jesus told believers that we "are the light of the world" which means we are to be the light for everyone, everywhere.  Also, God has not given me the spirit of fear.
