God is Inexhaustible Energy

While I was working at this corporate event scanning visitors' badges, a colleague beside me told me she was feeling exhausted after her long shift the previous day. I told her it's my faith that keeps me going.

"What faith is that?" she said.

"I'm a Christian," I said.

"So am I," she said.

"Well then, the Bible teaches that the Joy of the Lord is our strength, remember?"

"How does that help?"

"That's why I don't feel tired," I said.

"I can't see how Jesus is doing the scanning?"

"Because the Lord lives in us, He is working through me and you."

My colleague still didn't get it, so I left it as that.

To make it even more simple, I believe there is One Creator God and I live and have my being in Him. Since He is all there is, then when I move it is He who is moving. How can I possibly feel tired when it is God doing the work?

God is inexhaustible energy.

I find the moment I start thinking I am the one doing the work, I become as tired as everyone else around me.  That's why I have to keep reminding myself that God is life.

As Jesus said, "I am the bread of life." (John 6: 35)

Thank you, God! ❤️

Relevant Bible verses:

"Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

"And Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst."" John 6:35

“God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. [25] Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. [26] And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, [27] so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; [28] or in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’" Acts 17: 24-28

"For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. [17] And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist." Colossians 1:16-17
