Choosing the Right Gifts

While I was thinking of what to get my friend for her birthday, I went into this store. I found the perfect card for her, which I knew she would find funny.  I decided to also get her a chocolate cake.

As I was going through the confectionery section, I decided to get a box of chocolates for my flatmate. I had the idea to get her a box of Marzipans for a change.

At another store, I decided to buy my birthday friend a bottle of wine as I know she likes wine.  However, as I'm not a wine connoisseur,  I was overwhelmed by their selection. I asked a member of staff, who was their resident wine expert, for ideas. I said I was looking for something sweet. She asked if I liked Rosé wine and I said yes, but I didn't know which one to get. She picked a bottle of Rosé and handed it to me. I thanked her for her help.

Later when I gave my flatmate the box of Marzipans, she was overjoyed and said she loved Marzipans. I told her I wasn't aware she liked them as I usually buy her chocolates. She said although she likes the chocolates I buy her, Marzipans are her favourites.

When I went to my friend's to celebrate her birthday, she liked the card and was grateful for the chocolate cake. The moment she saw the bottle of wine, she said it was her favourite. I even had some wine with her, which I also enjoyed as I prefer sweet wine.

Thank you, God, for providing and choosing the right gifts for my friends. ❤️

Indiana Jones

Today, I was working as a host at three graduation ceremonies from the same university. At the end of each ceremony, the orchestra they had on stage played the theme song from the film, "Indiana Jones", composed by John Williams. By the end of my shift, I had that song stuck in my head. On the way home, I stopped at this restaurant to get some food then walked to the bus stop  As the bus I wanted got cancelled, I decided to travel a different route, which took a lot longer.  When I finally got home, I had a quick shower. I then turned on my laptop to watch some mindless TV on this film channel. Guess what film they had on? "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Very funny, God! 😂 Of course, I had to watch it again, even though I've seen it a zillion times. I never get tired of Indiana Jones films or that theme song. ❤️

Bananas

 A few days ago while I was grocery shopping, I wondered if I should get some bananas, but I decided not to as they don't last long. That's why I only buy a banana when I fancy one in that moment.  I got red grapes instead which last a lot longer. Yesterday, I didn't see my flatmate as I was already in bed by the time she got home. This morning when I went in the kitchen, I noticed my flatmate had left a note on the kitchen top for me to have these two bananas. I immediately gobbled one up. Thank you, God, for providing my bananas through my flatmate. ♥️ Photo of the note and bananas 😊
