Spirit Walking

Yesterday, I planned to do some grocery shopping.  After doing my laundering and some household chores, I realised it was way too soon to tackle grocery shopping, so I left it for another day.

This morning I went out to do my grocery shopping. It was the first time I had been out since I was off sick.

As I was walking to the supermarket, which is only about five minutes walk from our building, I noticed I was feeling very light. I know I've lost a bit of weight, but I wasn't feeling my body.  It was like I was a spirit and I was gliding.

When I'm not feeling well, I really do go deep into the Bible to get inspiration and spend time praying. (I also spent a lot of time on Facebook and watching stuff on my laptop).

I was reminded of the following Bible verse:

"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." John 6: 63

It makes sense why I was feeling so light as the Word is spirit.  Imagine what would happen if I spent 100% of my time reading the Bible and focused only on Jesus!

I'm back at work tomorrow. I will be working at this art gallery, which should give me lots of opportunities to meditate on Bible verses I have memorised.

Onwards and upwards. 😀

Thank you, Jesus, for Your healing grace. ❤️
