Receiving and Received

When I work at museums, galleries and art centres, we are given radios to communicate with the duty manager/DM.

To communicate, you announce your position and ask the DM if they are receiving. The DM responds and ask you to send your message.  If the DM is sending the message, you respond by saying "received."

When I receive a message from the DM, I act on the message, and vice versa. Put another way, if you do not act on the message, it means you haven't received it.

The Bible is full of thousands of messages from God to help us lead a godly life. Every time we receive a message, it means we have understood and are acting on that message or are applying it to our daily life.

Thank you, God, for Your messages in the Bible.

I am receiving them now. Amen. ❤️

Relevant Bible verses:

"And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Matthew 21: 22

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God." John 1: 12-13

"Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue," 2 Peter 1: 2-3
