History is Repeating Itself

On the morning of the 10th September 2O25 (GMT), I posted the following Bible verse on my Facebook page.

"That which has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and there is nothing new under the sun." Ecclesiastes 1: 9

Later in the evening on my way back from work, I saw the news headlines that Charlie Kirk had been murdered. While I didn't follow his podcast, I knew he was a fellow Christian.  I felt very sad to hear about it. My heart went out to his family and loved ones.

I was reminded of  Stephen in the Bible, who was very passionate about his faith in Christ. He got stoned to death after sharing his testimony. Before Stephen died, he cried out, “Lord, do not charge them with this sin!” (Acts 7: 60). At the time, it was Saul who had given his consent to have Stephen killed.

At the time, it was Saul who had given his consent to have Stephen killed.

While Saul was on the road to Damascus to persecute more disciples and followers of the Way (as Christianity was called then), Jesus appeared to Saul as blinding light.

"Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” Acts 9: 4

Saul said,

"Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” Acts 9: 5

After Saul's encounter with the Lord, he ended up converting to Christianity. As Paul, he was sent to share the Gospel with the gentiles. Paul wrote majority of the Epistles in the New Testament of the Bible before he was also matyred.

My point is history is repeating itself. Another prominent Christian has been matyred, again.  Just like the way Jesus used Saul/Paul, I believe God is going to use this "dark moment" as a wake up call to bring more people to Christ not only in America, but all over the world.

In other words, what man means for evil, God is transforming it to good.

God bless Charlie Kirk, who I know is now sitting in the heavenly places in Christ.

God bless everyone with His peace. ❤️
