My Real Identity Never Expires
As a born-again Christian, my identity is in Christ, but the world would have me believe otherwise.
For instance, my ten year passport, which I use as my legal ID, expired recently. I soon received an email from a casting agency, I am registered with, to remind me that my proof of ID has expired and needs updating.
When I got in contact with the agency and told them that I am in the process of renewing my passport, they told me the out of date passport will suffice as proof of my right to work until I get my new one. They told me I may continue to receive reminders from their automated system.
What if I had told my agency that as my identity is in Christ, God has gven me the right to work anywhere I choose?
They might think I'm nuts and remove my name from their books. 😆
Actors playing different roles know they are not their characters. In the same respect, my human identity is a character I am playing which comes with the equivalent props like my passport and my own unique national insurance number.
While I am playing this role, I know my real identity is my born-again spirit, which never expires. ❤️

Relevant Bible verses;
"Therefore, from now on, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5: 16-17
"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish." Galatians 5: 16-17
