God is No Respecter of Persons
A few months ago, I went to visit a friend at his house. Before I left, he gave me some homemade vegetable curry to take home. I promised to return his container.
After a few months passed, I arranged to visit the same friend again at his house. I was going to take his container, but I didn't want to return it empty. I thought it would be nice to have some food in it, but I wasn't in the mood to cook. I will just have to return his container another time.
When my flatmate came home from work, she told me our neighbour had given her a bag full of plums she had picked from the plum tree in our communal garden. When my flatmate shared some of the plums with me. I told her I was going to give some of them to my friend.
The next day, when I went to visit my friend, I returned his container full of plums. I told him I wanted to return his container with food and God filled it with organic plums from our garden. I said I hope he liked plums.
My friend told me he also has a plum tree in his back garden. He said he's been wanting to enjoy the plums, but every time the tree drops ripe fruits, squirrels come and eat them or leave half-eaten fruits on the grass.
God is no respecter of persons. (Acts 10: 34, KJV) He is constantly pouring His love on us or through others. My friend is not a believer, but he knows I am. I hope the plums give him food for thought.
Thank you, God, for your constant love. ❤️
