About Angels

Before I went out, I was meditating on angels. According to the Bible, angels act out the Word of God or obey God's commands. (Psalm 103: 20-21) In other words, contrary to popular belief, you can't just command God's angels to do your bidding, unless you're dealing with Satan who can pass himself off as an angel of light. (2 Corinthians 11:14)

In one example in the Bible, when King Hezekiah of Israel asked God to help him against King Sennacherib of Assyria, an angel of the Lord was sent to an Assyrian camp and killed 185,000 men.  (2 Kings 19: 35) That's how powerful one angel of the Lord is.

Hours later, while I was waiting for a bus, I was busy replying to an email on my phone. I was so focused, I missed my bus. A woman sitting next to me at the bus shelter whispered to me to be careful as she believed a man was watching me.  I thanked her for her concern and put my phone away. She said if anything happens, she will call on God to smite them.

I thought to myself, I wonder if this woman is an angel of the Lord in human form? 😀
