Stray Cats

While I was cooking, I left the back door open. One of the stray cats was back. He came as far the door and I glared at him. He then backed away and laid down and was looking really cute. I thought to myself, I reckon all cat mums must train their cats to look cute so they can seduce humans. I took his photo.

He then got up and gazed at me. I found myself reaching out for the dried food and putting some on the ground for him to eat.

He had some, but didn't finish all of it. He then laid in front of the door and kept watching me.

In the meantime Zeus, our resident cat, walked in. He sniffed at his bowl and decided he didn't want the food. He miaowed at me. I told him to finish his food. He ignored me and sat at the doorway. He didn't seem bothered by the stray cat. I reckon in his own way, Zeus was letting the stray cat know that this was his place and everything in this flat, including the humans, belong to him. Zeus walked away to lie in the sun.

I then heard the stray cat hissing. When I looked outside, I noticed it was stray cat 2, the cheeky one that comes through the window. Both cats don't like him. Neither do I. I told him to go away. He ran away.

After a while stray cat 2 returned. He laid down. I thought he was looking adorable so I took his photo and returned to my cooking.

I noticed stray cat 2 was now eating the leftovers stray cat 1 had left behind.

Okay, they got me. I don't mind feeding the strays from time to time, as long as they know that Zeus is the man of the house. 😊

I give thanks for all of God's creation including stray cats.❤️

Here are some photos of the strays with Zeus.
