Love and Marriage

When you start dating someone, there is usually a point when both of you decide it's a serious relationship and you no longer wish to date other people. When you decide to get married, you're making a commitment to be with that spouse, for life.

In the same respect, when we give our life to Christ, we are making a public statement that Jesus is our Husband and we are His bride. That means being totally committed to Jesus alone just as He is totally committed to us.

You get to know Jesus by studying the Bible. While you are studying, you are renewing your mind. (Romans 12: 2) You notice that you no longer think the way you used to.  Day by day, your life is transformed and you get to live Jesus' abundant life.

Unlike human marriage, there is no divorce in Christ. You are married to Him forever.

I have never been married in the human sense, but I am married to Jesus Christ.  It's the best relationship ever. ✝️❤️

Relevant Bible verses:

"And another also said, “Lord, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.” [62] But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9: 61-62

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12: 1-2

"Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.'  1 Corinthians 6: 16-17
