Waste Not, Want Not!

While I was alone with Zeus, my flatmate's cat, he started begging me for food.

"You've still got food in your bowl," I said. "Finish it and I'll give you some more."

"Miaow!" Zeus said.

"No, you are really spoilt, Zeus! There are starving cats out there and you are wasting your food."

"Miaow!"

"I can't hear you!" I said and walked away. Zeus followed me to my bedroom. I relented and gave him some dry food.

The very next day, this skinny looking cat turned up outside the back door. My flatmate told me he came before and she fed him. Usually, Zeus can be very territorial, but he didn't seem to mind this cat sitting near him.

I told my flatmate that the day before I was telling Zeus that there are hungry cats who are desperate for the food he's wasting.

My flatmate decided to feed the other cat with some of Zeus' wet food and his leftovers.

Waste not, want not! 😀

Before my flatmate fed the other cat, she locked Zeus inside the house, in case he got jealous.

The same cat turned up the next day. Again, Zeus didn't mind the cat sitting on "his"' chair outside. Aww, Zeus is a good boy!  ❤️

When I was a kid, I was very fussy about my food. I was constantly reminded about starving kids who would be very grateful for the food I was turning my nose up at.

I guess I've finally met my match in Zeus.😀
