Nice Trip Down Memory Lane

So I decided to explore an area of London I used to live over 25 years ago.  I had to ask for directions as I couldn't remember the way. This young man showed me this route which was a long-winded way to get there.

The actual village was still the same.  They still had the famous public school and the church up the hill.

When I finally arrived at the street where I lived for almost six years, I couldn't recognise the cottage. I had to look up the house number.

On the way back to the bus station, I walked down this familiar path up this hill, but when I got down the hill, I had to ask for directions again to the bus station. It took me about 15 minutes to walk to the local bus/tube station.

Back in the day, I used to wear high heels to work. How did I manage to walk all that way in heels? There were times when I would run up the steps to the tube station. This time, I thanked God for giving me the energy to walk up those steps.

I realised who I was then is no longer who I am now.

Back then, I didn't know the Lord and I was looking for love in all the wrong places. I thought I could do everything with my own strength.

Now that I know the Lord, I am no longer looking for love. I have the love of Christ in me.  I also know that I do all things with Christ's strength.

It's still a very pretty area of London. I am grateful I got to live there. ❤️

Relevant Bible verses:

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

"Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. [8] He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." I John 4:7-8

Here are some photos I

took of the area.
