I am a Child of God

"So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them." Genesis 1: 27

Before I go to sleep, I charge my phone using my wireless charger.  When the phone is still charging the light underneath the charger is red and the bottom of my phone usually feels hot.  The moment my phone is fully charged, the light on the charger turns blue and my phone feels cool. 

It got me thinking about my stomach. Whenever I eat or drink, it reaches a certain point when my stomach can't take any more food or drink. If I persist, I end up throwing up.  That's the human body for you, it has it's limits. 

The human body can only do so much until it gets tired. While we can train our bodies to do more or have more stamina, the fact of the matter is that it is limited. That's what makes us mortals.

How do we get around our limitations?

Because humans have become disconnected from God, their Creator,, because of their sins, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save all of humanity from their sins and become the children of God that they were created to be. However, only those who believe in and receive Jesus become children of God. (John 3: 16; John 1: 12)

As a child of God, you were made in the image and likeness of God who is Spirit. (Genesis 1: 27; John 4: 24) 

Spirit is limitless.

Therefore, as spirit, your capacity to receive God's abundance, beauty, joy, life, love, peace, power, wisdom, creative ideas, etc is also limitless. 

In practical terms,  Spirit continuously gives life to our mortal bodies which keeps our bodies fit, strong, healthy and forever young. (John 6: 63)

If you don't know who you really are, that you are spirit and a child of God, you're going to experience life as a SAD human being. SAD  = sickness, aging and death. (Psalm 82: 6-7)

I am made in the image of God.

I am spirit.

I am a child of God.

Thank you, God, for  saving me through Your Son, Jesus Christ,  and for giving me Your Spirit. ❤️

An Easy Day

Before I went to work at this museum, I thanked God for an easy, fun and wonderful day. Half of my time was spent working in the gallery, where I was invigilating, and in the shop serving customers.  Although it was really busy with a constant flow of visitors and kids, I found it easy as God was working in me and through me My work colleagues were also very nice and helpful and I enjoyed working with them. I also enjoyed chatting to the parents and their kids. While I was tidying up an area of the gallery, I found this soft toy and I gave it to a colleague to look after. Later, I saw this boy sitting in the cafe with his mum and sister. I noticed he was carrying the toy I had found in the gallery. I told him I was glad he got his toy back. I asked him how old they were, he was six years old  and his sister was ten. The boy said his birthday was on the 27th December. I told him my nephew's birthday was also on that day. Letting Go of Grievance

Last night while I was working at  this concert, most of the guests I met were friendly and polite, but there was one particular guest who was challenging. After the event finished, I reported the experience to the duty manager and let it go, or so I thought. When I woke up this morning, the guest was still in my head. I asked God to help me let go of any grievance I was holding.
