The Best-Laid Plans

As the Robert Burns saying goes, "The best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry." 😂

This morning, I planned to go to church. At first, I planned to catch a bus to one about a mile away. I then had a change of heart and decided  to walk to a church that's about 10 minutes away. As I have run out of food, on the way back I planned to stop off at the supermarket for some grocery.

The moment I got out, it was so icy, I nearly slipped, as the flat heels on my boots were not suitable for those conditions. My plans immediately changed. Sorry, Lord, I'm going shopping. Besides, you and I are always together anyway.

I crossed over the road to the supermarket, which was empty as it had just opened, and quickly got some grocery.  I was so grateful to have a warm home to come back to.

After I put away the grocery and had a chat with my flatmate, I watched this Christian TV channel on my laptop.

On one programme, the late Reinhard Bonnke (an evangelist), shared a testimony that blew me away. I would have missed that if I had gone to church.

Thank you, Lord, for always making everything work out for good.  ❤️
