Eternal Gratitude
Every year (since 1947), Norway gives Britain a Christmas tree.
"This tree is given by the city of Oslo as a token of Norwegian gratitude to the people of London for their assistance during the years 1940-45." (Wikipedia)
The tree is always installed at Trafalgar Square.
I can imagine majority of people who fought in that war have long since passed away and yet their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren are still showing their eternal gratitude by sending us a Christmas tree every year.
Over 2,000 years ago, our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ took on a human form so He could be the sacrificial Lamb for all of humanity. Whoever believes in Him will be saved and can have eternal life with God. (John 3: 16) Jesus' salvation covers all of humanity in the past, present and future.
That Christmas Tree is a reminder for me to thank God every day for saving me through His begotten Son, Jesus Christ. ❤️

Here's a photo I took of the Christmas tree at Trafalgar Square a year ago. I hope to go and see this year's Christmas tree before the season is over. ❤️
