Your Personal God

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" -John 14:6

One thing I have learned about  pets is how reliant they are on their owners.

Take my flatmate's cat, Zeus, as an example. My flatmate provides Zeus with food and water, beds (including ours), shelter, medication, visits to the vet when needed, a nice garden for him to explore, toys and lots of affection. (Zeus loves us back in his own way). When my flatmate is away, she always has someone looking after Zeus.

In other words, my flatmate is Zeus' personal god, even though Zeus thinks he is god.  Zeus doesn't always know what's good for him. One time when he got into a fight with the local hoodlum cat, he came home wounded. After his god tended to his wound, he still wanted to go out and finish the fight. My flatmate had to keep him indoors for his own safety.

In the same respect, when you  accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, you get to experience a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  In other words, Jesus Himself becomes your very own personal God.  However, God is very respectful of our freewill and will not impose His will on anyone. If  you decide to do things your own way, He will let you get on with it until you finally realise that He alone is the solution to all your problems.

When you have Jesus, you have everything. ❤️

An Easy Day

Before I went to work at this museum, I thanked God for an easy, fun and wonderful day. Half of my time was spent working in the gallery, where I was invigilating, and in the shop serving customers.  Although it was really busy with a constant flow of visitors and kids, I found it easy as God was working in me and through me My work colleagues were also very nice and helpful and I enjoyed working with them. I also enjoyed chatting to the parents and their kids. While I was tidying up an area of the gallery, I found this soft toy and I gave it to a colleague to look after. Later, I saw this boy sitting in the cafe with his mum and sister. I noticed he was carrying the toy I had found in the gallery. I told him I was glad he got his toy back. I asked him how old they were, he was six years old  and his sister was ten. The boy said his birthday was on the 27th December. I told him my nephew's birthday was also on that day. Letting Go of Grievance

Last night while I was working at  this concert, most of the guests I met were friendly and polite, but there was one particular guest who was challenging. After the event finished, I reported the experience to the duty manager and let it go, or so I thought. When I woke up this morning, the guest was still in my head. I asked God to help me let go of any grievance I was holding.
