Light of My Life

"Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8: 12

When I arrived at the tube station, it was heaving with passengers. Some of them were  chanting which meant they had had just come from a football match.

I started feeling like my energy was being drained and the lights were growing dimmer around me, 

As the platform for the northbound trains was overcrowded, I decided to catch a train going southbound, get off at the next stop and then travel back north. This way, I could avoid the crowd.  

When I finally got on the northbound train and got a seat, I was still feeling as if my world was going darker. I closed my eyes and then silently declared to myself the following:

"I live in the Light of Christ. His Presence fills this train and the entire network."

When I opened my eyes, I noticed the tube was a lot brighter and I  was feeling energised. By the time I got out of the tube to catch a bus home, I was back to normal.

Thank You, God, for being the  Light of my life. 💛

An Easy Day

Before I went to work at this museum, I thanked God for an easy, fun and wonderful day. Half of my time was spent working in the gallery, where I was invigilating, and in the shop serving customers.  Although it was really busy with a constant flow of visitors and kids, I found it easy as God was working in me and through me My work colleagues were also very nice and helpful and I enjoyed working with them. I also enjoyed chatting to the parents and their kids. While I was tidying up an area of the gallery, I found this soft toy and I gave it to a colleague to look after. Later, I saw this boy sitting in the cafe with his mum and sister. I noticed he was carrying the toy I had found in the gallery. I told him I was glad he got his toy back. I asked him how old they were, he was six years old  and his sister was ten. The boy said his birthday was on the 27th December. I told him my nephew's birthday was also on that day. Letting Go of Grievance

Last night while I was working at  this concert, most of the guests I met were friendly and polite, but there was one particular guest who was challenging. After the event finished, I reported the experience to the duty manager and let it go, or so I thought. When I woke up this morning, the guest was still in my head. I asked God to help me let go of any grievance I was holding.
