The Jesus Christ Trend

 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13: 8

Before we started work, I was hanging out with two colleagues. One told us she was trying to order these shoes online for work, but they'd sold out.

I told her where I had got my shoes from. I said they were really comfortable. 

She looked at them and said, "Your shoes are very old," she said.  (My colleague isn't British, she's from a country in Asia).

"Are you trying to tell me that my shoes are old-fashioned?" I said.

The other colleague looked at me and we all burst out laughing.

"I'm sorry, it's just that the shoes I like are more trendy," she said sheepishly.

"It's okay, I get where you're coming from," I said.

I actually appreciated her candour. 

My colleague was born in the 1990s in that Millennial generation. When I was around her age, I was very much into what was trendy. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing comfy shoes, even for work. Now I wear shoes that look smart and are comfy.

Fashion trends come and go, but God is one Trend that lasts forever.

That's why I follow the Jesus Christ Trend.❤️

An Easy Day

Before I went to work at this museum, I thanked God for an easy, fun and wonderful day. Half of my time was spent working in the gallery, where I was invigilating, and in the shop serving customers.  Although it was really busy with a constant flow of visitors and kids, I found it easy as God was working in me and through me My work colleagues were also very nice and helpful and I enjoyed working with them. I also enjoyed chatting to the parents and their kids. While I was tidying up an area of the gallery, I found this soft toy and I gave it to a colleague to look after. Later, I saw this boy sitting in the cafe with his mum and sister. I noticed he was carrying the toy I had found in the gallery. I told him I was glad he got his toy back. I asked him how old they were, he was six years old  and his sister was ten. The boy said his birthday was on the 27th December. I told him my nephew's birthday was also on that day. Letting Go of Grievance

Last night while I was working at  this concert, most of the guests I met were friendly and polite, but there was one particular guest who was challenging. After the event finished, I reported the experience to the duty manager and let it go, or so I thought. When I woke up this morning, the guest was still in my head. I asked God to help me let go of any grievance I was holding.
